Valizas

The rustic town of Valizas is famed for its myths and legends dating back to the shipwrecks of the Colonial era. After washing up the shores, pirates and smugglers settled side by side. Today, Valizas is busy family beach town, perfect for enjoying fresh seafood and listening to live music. By night, Valizas has a lively bar scene with craft stalls lining the streets.

The river in Valizas has a biodiversity of species that makes it a perfect walk for ecotourism. Monte de Ombués

The largest group of ombúes in the region of Plata is located on the shores of the Laguna de Castillos.
